Becoming a Poll Worker in Elkhart County

We look forward to working with you to conduct another successful election cycle! To be a poll worker, you must undergo some training to be ready to work at your vote center.

When is the General Election?

The General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.

Contact your party chairperson to be appointed as a poll worker:

After confirming availability with your party chairperson, please sign up for a required job-specific training session by calling the Voter Registration Office at (574) 535-6775. Spaces are limited at each session, so we must know in advance the number of people attending.

Poll Worker Training Times

The Elkhart County Election Board will hold poll worker training for the 2024 General Election at the County Office Building, 117 N 2nd St, Goshen, Room 104.

NOTICE ALL SESSIONS WILL BE JOB-SPECIFIC - BE SURE TO SIGN UP FOR THE CORRECT CLASS!

You MUST call Voter Registration to sign up for a session. Class size is limited to ensure enough materials, seats, and poll books for everyone in attendance. You will be turned away if you show up for training and have not signed up.

Poll Worker Training Classes

All classes will be held in Room 104 at the County Administrative Offices Building at 117 N. 2nd Street in Goshen. Each training session will last around two hours or more, so please plan accordingly.
